Corrections come first
If you think something on this site is wrong, please tell us — this is the message we most want to receive.
Lawn advice carries real consequences: a wrong treatment threshold, a wrong application window or a wrong mowing height can cost somebody a season. So a correction report is genuinely valuable to us, and it's the fastest way to make this site better for the next person.
It helps if you can include:
- The article — a link or the title.
- What's wrong, and what it should say.
- Anything that backs it up — extension research, a product label, or your own results.
We'd rather fix a mistake than defend one. How corrections are handled is set out in the Editorial Policy.
Questions about your lawn
You're welcome to write to us about an article.
Two honest limits, so you know what to expect:
- We can't diagnose your lawn by email. Lawn problems depend on your grass type, your soil, your climate, your watering history and your local pest pressure. Nobody can see that from a description, and a confident answer from someone who can't see your yard is worth very little.
- For a real diagnosis, your state's Cooperative Extension Service is the best resource there is — regional, research-based, usually free, and most offer soil testing for a modest fee. It will beat anything we can tell you remotely.
